“…A beacon of modernity—an attempt to explore existential quandaries
with playfulness…They Might Be Giants have stayed true to the innovative spirit
that shines so brightly on ‘Flood’.” – Pitchfork
“They have their rhythm, their aesthetic,
and their show all down to a science. It’s a fantastic thing to watch a band
enjoying themselves by doing exactly what they want to be doing. It’s what keeps fans like me
coming back over and over again.” – Consequence
“‘Flood’ is a deft pogo dance on the tightrope between delightful whimsy
and insufferable self-amusement that will leave you humming, smiling,
and mulling the future of modern civilization…” – SPIN
“…for about two hours, the band delivered their unique brand of surreal,
humorous and eccentric music that first made them college rock favorites
in the late 1980s and early 1990s.” – Forbes
“Here is the rock band They Might Be Giants playing ‘Flood,’ growing older,
celebrating 30 years at 33…playing ‘Flood’ again but different, playing songs backwards,
always moving forward anyway.” – Paste Magazine
“In a forty-plus year career full of unusual endeavors that have come to fruition,
They Might Be Giants can count this tour, and by extension this show,
as yet another wildly successful one.” – Under the Radar

In celebration of their entirely sold out US tour and their dazzling, critically acclaimed album and coffee table art book project, BOOK (2021), alternative rock legends They Might Be Giants will be performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! next Monday, April 24. The show will be airing on ABC at 11:35pm EST / 10:35pm CST, and 11:35pm PST.
The band is currently in the midst of a year-long international tour that will take them across the US, Australia, UK, and Ireland. The show is “An Evening With” featuring 2 sets and an 8-piece band with a horn section that will see TMBG perform all of their Flood album alongside tons of other audience favorites. The band has also just announced a handful of new shows, including joining this year’s Pleasantville Music Festival in Pleasantville, NY on July 8. They will also be returning to the San Diego area on July 14 & 15 (second date added due to overwhelming demand), with net proceeds from the shows going to Feeding San Diego, the leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization in San Diego County. TMBG will follow that up with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on July 16 with the pop-rock duo Sparks. Tickets for all shows are available here.
They Might Be Giants’ BOOK received a Grammy nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package, and debuted at #1 Current Alternative Albums, #1 Current Rock Albums and #88 Billboard 200 charts – combining 1st week sales with over 10,000 pre-sales. The band has been releasing a steady stream of vinyl re-issues spanning their extensive catalog through their Idlewild Recordings label, including classic albums like Flood, Apollo 18, Mink Car, Lincoln, and most recently, The Spine. Up next is Long Tall Weekend, an album credited as the first ever digital-only release by a major artist back in 1999 in the fledgling days of the internet. Expand your collection of TMBG vinyl right here.
They Might Be Giants started with a Dial-A-Song service, powered by a lone phone machine out of their Brooklyn apartments. Since then, they have made 23 albums, and have secretly infiltrated your TV with original themes and incidental music to numerous shows and commercials. Fans can enjoy They Might Be Giants’ FREE Dial-A-Song smartphone app (iPhone / Android) which adds a new song every day.
