Tim Halperin Releases His Ode To Independent Women
April 6, 2018 (Nashville, TN) – Tim Halperin has released “Work For It,” the latest single from his upcoming album, CHANCES. Tim says, “This song is an ode to a trait that I find incredibly attractive: confidence. It’s an anthem for confident women, and coincidentally a friendly reminder for the guys chasing confident women that you won’t get anywhere with empty words.” “Work For It” is available at all digital outlets beginning today, with CHANCES following on May 4.

The entire CHANCES project has strong nods to 80’s pop, and draws on Halperin’s childhood influences. He grew up hearing Michael Jackson, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, and James Taylor on his mother’s record player. He tapped into those early musical memories for inspiration on CHANCES.
Halperin moved to Nashville three years ago by way of Dallas and Omaha. “When I arrived in Nashville years ago I had trouble finding a community of pop music fanatics like myself, but the scene here has changed so much in that time. Now, we have dozens of talented artists producing incredible pop music and I’m proud to be a member of that movement.”
CHANCES is also a reflection of Halperin’s current state of mind. He’s in a good place, both professionally and personally, and he wanted to evoke that positive feeling in the record. He’s unashamed about having a damn good time in life, and it shows in the music. “I’m the type of person that’s always onto the next thing,” reflects Tim. “As long as I can remember in my life, it was the next toy, the next tech gadget, the next girlfriend, etc. And then I met my wife Kylie. It might be cliché, but now I’m able to enjoy what’s in front of me.”
The Nebraska-born songwriter is enjoying continued success in the music industry after shining in the spotlight of American Idol. Since then, he’s landed several national TV placements and had opportunities to support talented artists including Ben Folds, Kelly Clarkson, The Fray, and Blake Shelton. CHANCES will be his third album release, and his first full-length since 2014’s Heart Tells Your Head. His debut album, 2011’s Rise & Fall, peaked at #14 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart.
