UK LIVE SHOWS ANNOUNCED

TIM HECKER has announced new headline shows for the UK, plus an appearance at  the RBMA festival in Paris.

Hecker will reunite once more with visual artist MFO/Marcel Weber for his Paris appearance at Palais de Tokyo on September 29th. However, the following British shows in Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh (October 1st-4th) will take place in total darkness, marking a departure for the electronic composer as he further explores sensory deprivation in live performance. Tickets for all dates are now on sale, head to his official site for more details.

Tim Hecker announces UK live shows

“A hugely involving, weirdly moving experience: over the course of its 43 minutes, it variously feels blissful, soothing, profoundly creepy, uplifting and cathartic.”

The Guardian **** (Album of the Week)
“Marks a subtle shift in Hecker’s habitual style, a pivot away from his hazy trademark.”
The Observer ****
“The word “immersive” is bandied about a lot, but Hecker’s work really is.”
Pitchfork (8.2)
“His music is ravishing in a way that transcends method and context. Radically beautiful.”
Uncut (8/10)
“A record that’s serene on the surface but with a dark undertow.”
MOJO ****
“Wholly absorbing…That you are compelled to stay listening…is proof of this record’s eerie power.”
Q ****
“He makes for a turbulent sonic trip that ultimately feels redemptive.”
Resident Advisor
“It is clear from Love Streams, with its increased manipulation of vocals and wider palette, that he is becoming braver.”
The Wire
Love Streams is both a masterpiece of contemporary composition and of emotional sensitivity.”
The Quietus
