Brooklyn-based, garage rock duo, The Falling Birds, and their new EP, What Is There to Talk About, our today, February 17, 2017. Listen the EP as premiered on The Deli Magazine HERE.
“….Chock full of the kind of fuzzed out western grunge any god fearing parent would not want their teenager to listen to,” (The Vinyl District) the EP was recorded with  Brian Speaker (Jeffrey Lewis, Amateur Blonde and Crazy and the Brains) and mastered by Jeff Lipton (Arcade Fire, Dropkick Murphy’s, LCD Soundsystem, Heartless Bastards), the band are “filled with garage fury yet is layered with a straight-ahead punk layer that fills out the muscular tune.”  (PureVolume) They have already been named “10 Must See Trios at CMJ 2015” by Glamglare and “Myspace Music Artist of the Day” and nominated as “Best Artist NYC” by PulseMusic.TV. Leading up to the the release of What Is There to Talk About, The Falling Birds will be performing on  November 18th at Starlite in Southbridge MA, November 20 at Gold Sounds in Brooklyn, December 29th at The Saint in Asbury Park,  Jan 7th at Live on Elgin in Ottawa ON and more, showcasing their sound that “starts coldly industrial, but transforms into something soft and nostalgic.” (The Aquarian)

Garage rock duo, The Falling Birds, drop their EP, What Is There to Talk About, today, February 17, 2017. Recorded with  Brian Speaker (Jeffrey Lewis, Femdoms, Amateur Blonde and Crazy and the Brains) and mastered by Jeff Lipton (Arcade Fire, Dropkick Murphy’s, LCD Soundsystem, Heartless Bastards), the band have already been named “10 Must See Trios at CMJ 2015” by Glamglare and “Myspace Music Artist of the Day”and nominated as “Best Artist NYC” by PulseMusic.TV.

Comprised of Stephen Artemis (vocals/guitar/harmonica) and Dave Alan (drums/keys) , the Brooklyn-based duo met in  2011 and began  experimenting with a sound that  is “chock full of the kind of fuzzed out western grunge any god fearing parent would not want their teenager to listen to.” (The Vinyl District) Gigging throughout 2012 to 2014, the band recorded and released  Til We All Fall Down EP in 2015. Shortly after, the pair hit the road for regional dates along with Canadian and UK tours and appearances at CMJ, Northside Festival, SXSW and Move Music Festival, where their video, “My Girl,” won the “Music Video Award for Creative Achievement.”

Leading up to the the release of What Is There to Talk About, The Falling Birds will be performing on December 29th at The Saint in Asbury Park,  Jan 7th at Live on Elgin in Ottawa ON and more, showcasing their sound that “starts coldly industrial, but transforms into something soft and nostalgic.” (The Aquarian)
