Tommy Villiers releas collaboration with mustbejohn, ‘To The Moon’
Tommy Villiers has today premiered brand new track ‘To The Moon’, a collaboration with Hertfordshire-based one to watch mustbejohn.
A summer banger about the seemingly-limitless possibilities of a night out, ‘To The Moon’ (says Tommy) was inspired by “listening to lots of classic UKG and Brazilian music on the way to the studio. Was a wicked time just vibing in car listening to that style, so we were in the mood to fuse the two together and use some of that sauce when we got to the studio. John was defo on the same wavelength as the verse lyrics glue so well with the beat.”
A multi-hyphenate singer, producer, DJ and guitarist, Tommy Villiers is a central figure in those helping shape the new generation of dance music. Villiers has already won widespread acclaim – and landed viral hits like ‘on & on’ and ‘soft spot’ – for his collaborative project with piri (much more from the duo is expected soon). Having dipped back into solo work with ‘Not Puzzled’ – featuring Ceòl-Min – and remixed the likes of LF System and NiNE8, 2023 has also seen Tommy cut his teeth as a DJ, with an upcoming show at Night Tales confirmed for August 26th. mustbejohn, meanwhile, released his Romance in Great Britain EP last year before following up with liquid d&B anthem ‘Deep End’, having also played live dates alongside Charlotte Plank and opened for piri & Tommy Villiers on their froge.mp3 headline tour.
Watch out for more from Tommy Villiers coming soon!
