Swansea dreamers TRAMPOLENE, who have been tearing up the nation with their unique combination of garage rock, street poetry and acoustic heartbreakers, release a new five-track-mini-album, ‘Pocket Album Four,’ through Mi7 Records on Friday 12th August. A single, ‘The Gangway,’ mixed by Cenzo Townshend (Jamie T / Everything Everything) is available now when you pre-order ‘Pocket Album Four’ on iTunes: https://itun.es/gb/hz0ndb ‘The Gangway’, a rock’n’roll coming of age vignette, is the follow-up to ‘It’s Not Rock & Roll’ which was embraced by Radio 1 DJs Greg James & Huw Stephens and John Kennedy on Radio X.
‘Pocket Album Four’ was recorded live at Konk Studios and produced by Jack Jones & Josh Green. The poem ‘To Be A Libertine,’ written by Jack Jones includes spoken word contributions from Carl Barat, Peter Doherty, Gary
Powell and John Hassall (The Libertines) along with some of their fans. TRAMPOLENE singer/songwriter Jack Jones’
spoken word pieces have already been described by Dr John Cooper Clarke as “Exceptional poetry, funny and depressing at the same time and how often can you say that.” The EP will also include a raucous live rendition of the Cure classic, ‘Friday I’m In Love’ which was recorded for a Radio X Session.
The full track listing for ‘Pocket Album Four’ is:
- The Gangway
- Tom Hardy
- Friday I’m In Love
- Letting You Down
- To Be A Libertine (Spoken Word)

TRAMPOLENE – WHAT THE PAPERS SAY
‘The most exciting newcomers at Glastonbury – skuzzy rock’n’roll with Trampolene.”
NME
‘Thrillingly visceral bounce & swagger…’
METRO
‘It’d be unfair to label Jack Jones, the frontman of Swansea’s Trampolene, a ‘punk-poet.’ His hungry, tooth and nail songs could be classified as punk, sure, and his lyrical spoken-word pieces are undeniably poetry, but the
connotations associated with such a label are not befitting of a voice as unique as Jones’
GIGWISE
‘Trampolene execute a riff with the killer precision and metallic urgency of Oasis in a knife-fight with AC/DC.’
THE GUARDIAN
“The songs and self-belief that propelled bands like manic Street Preachers and The Libertines to greatness.”
LOADED
“Jones has a kind of raw, unpolished talent that appears in a Liam Gallagher-esque sneer and swagger, backed by squealing guitar riffs.”
THE INDEPENDENT
“Trampolene remind us that dreams are the fuel for revolution – if this isn’t rock ’n’ roll, then please tell me what is.” GIGSLUTZ
