Taking inspiration from bands such as Passion Pit, Hot Chip, Blondie and Eno, Two Sevens were born earlier this year when Sonya Frances (vocals) and Matthew Davis (instruments) discovered that they both shared a passion for quirky and distinctive 80s-influenced pop. Sonya is also a professional dancer and actor and has appeared on stage, TV and films including The Danish Girl, while Matthew was previously signed to EMI music and has written songs for many artists in the US & UK.
The live date at Notting Hill Arts Club will see the pair joined on stage by a full band line up featuring Billy Stookes (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern (bass, backing vocals), Axel Lang (keyboards) and Sofie Plauborg (guitar, backing vocals).
Following the London show, Two Sevens will announce new live dates to coincide with the album launch in the New Year. More details to follow.
