With TWO weeks to go everything is ready for “the best Undercover Festival so far” says Festival Organiser Mick Moriarty “our quality headliners backed up by a very strong line up including many local bands at our new and quirky venue Dreamland Margate is one that we feel is QUITE POSSIBLY OUR BEST LINE UP over the last FIVE years” Mick added “Our message to everyone is come along to Undercover and see what the fuss is all about”
The festival is one that prides itself on taking an independent and grassroots approach to things, and is always determined to be different from mainstream events.
Undercover Festival now in its FIFTH year are moving to the unique and quirky setting of Dreamland Margate in Kent.
Undercover a festival venue and experience that defies all other conventions and festival templates, not only do we have a cracking line up but festival goers can experience many retro rides and amusements plus it is once again held undercover i.e. not outdoors so if it’s peeing down come September it’s not a problem and your beer won’t get diluted. Leave your wellies at home, and enjoy one of the best small alternative festivals the South has to offer this September.
Mick Moriarty said: “We believe the usual run-of-the-mill festivals tend to book bands that in the main are broadly similar – and way too safe! We try for a line up and experience that is something different and appeals to a crowd not catered for elsewhere and you will never find any of that schmaltzy X Factor rubbish on any of our stages”.
Mick added “It’s been a bit of a trek getting the line up just right with a few obstacles thrown in our way but we feel this is the best line up so far at Undercover”
Plus we have just announced a FREE After Show Party on Sunday 10th Sept at The Dug Out, Fort Hill Margate. (Details on the facebook event page). https://www.facebook.com/events/137071190193238/
The festival is one that prides itself on taking an independent and grassroots approach to things, and is always determined to be different from mainstream events, with two days of alternative action from bands you’d be highly unlikely to see on many other festival line-ups.
“This year’s festival has a line-up that is packed with bands that should appeal to most that like their music alternative. Undercover is an X Factor Free zone and there is no place for that schmaltzy pulp on our stages” said Festival Organiser Mick Moriarty.
Mick added “Preparations are going well and ticket sales are up on last year so out advice is get in quick to get your tickets because when they are sold out that’s it, we have more shops selling tickets this year plus you can get your tickets by post or online from Dreamland or the Undercover website.
In a financial climate where it always seems to be about the money, Undercover throws convention to the wind and just goes with what it believes in. There is a huge line up tickets can be bought in advance from www.undercoverfest.com from just £39 for Friday / £45 for Saturday and £75 for both days.
