Influenced by his DJ father and his vibrant township of Tembisa, Johannesburg, Tyler ICU was always immersed in music. Starting as a teenage producer out of the back room of his home, and working with multiple artists everyday after school, he quickly gained recognition in the South African Hip-Hop scene.
His encounter with Amapiano pioneer DJ Maphorisa marked a shift in his sound and journey. From there, he participated to countless successful collaborations, establishing himself as a household name in the ground-breaking Amapiano scene.
