Multi-talented Songstress returns to music with brilliant new direction.
V V Brown is back. Having taken some time away since she receiving notable worldwide attention with her critically acclaimed debut album ‘Travelling From The Light’ back in 2009; the multi-talented Singer, songwriter, producer, record label owner, model, presenter, ethical fashion brand CEO and entrepreneur returns with new album ‘Samson and Delilah’ which is to be released on the 9th September via YOY Records.
V V has already released a first teaser of what is to come in new tracks ‘Samson’ and newly released ‘The Apple’ which recently premiered on Spin and the video on The Guardian. The track initiates a new direction for the songstress with new darker electronic sound which has been co-produced by Mercury award winning producer and The Invisible front man, Dave Okumu. The tracks have been released alongside the exceptional new videos depicting the biblical tales which are the first installments of a series of short films to be released on the week of the album’s release. The short films will also have an official premiere at the ICA in London on the 2nd September.
The new material has already received outstanding reviews obtaining 4 star reviews in both Q Magazine and Mojo with The Huffington Post saying “this record will without-a-doubt fast become one of the most anticipated albums of 2013”. The resounding response is a triumph with a unanimous feeling of a certainly more mature and ambitious album from the songstress compared to her debut. The new Electronic Soul sound appears to be proving a hit as anticipation builds for the album to drop.
