Penetrating our pupils this week is Electro Filth Shocker Merrill Nisker aka Peaches.
‘Burst’ out now on digital is her first new music since 2009’s ‘I Feel Cream’ with the gap being filled by performances of her one woman take on Andrew Lloyd Webbers ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’
‘Burst’ sees the ‘Fuck The Pain Away’ star back doing what she does best, producing dirty synth beats with lyrics to match.
It’s promo clip finds Peaches looking slightly beat up sat in her car singing ‘I kill the other bitches’
She gets out of the car and starts running, and as the chorus ignites it’s clear that ‘Burst’ is Peaches very much at the top of her game indeed this track rivals her earlier efforts ‘Set It Off’ and Iggy Pop collaboration ‘Kick It’.
Poor Peaches collapses totally exhausted after only running for about two minutes – I hope she isn’t in training for a triathlon.
On the floor she gets taunted by two veiled freaks who mock her then lunge after her.
Run Peaches run! but our heroine who now resembles Worzel Gummidge (google it kids) simply gives up and then explodes. I certainly never saw any of the sprinters do that at the London 2012 Olympics.

Gothic scarecrow Jack White is back with a new single ‘I’m Shakin’ a cover of the classic Little Willie John rock n roll standard.
As some bloke starts busting moves that imply he has never heard rock n roll before or is listening to another song we are treated to not one but two Jack Whites.
Both Jacks are backed by foxy female musicians including a guitarist who has hair backcombed that high she could conceal a Marshall amp underneath it.
Mr White has clearly made an effort with his appearance for this video and has tamed his dead raven style locks into a sleek glossy bob, not unlike the one Johnny Depp adorned for his creepy portrayal of Willy Wonka.
This is a faithful retread of the song and although it will undoubtedly revive rock n roll for generations unfamiliar with the genre, it also highlights the fact that Jack has a really annoying way of singing ‘nervous’ he pronounces it NOYRVESS which just sounds vile.

Death Grips have dropped their video for ‘World Of Dogs’ the same way a poodle with diarrhoea would drop the steaming contents of its bowels on the pavement. Industrial to the max here as ‘World Of Dogs’ sounds like some bastard collaboration from Jay Z & Trent Reznor. Visually we get things ON FIRE as someone goes on & on saying “it’s all suicide” about 5000 times and that’s about it really, something may have changed in the last 30 seconds of the track but I had a migraine by then and had switched it off.

Far better is the clip for ‘Saturated’ by Cable35 who are currently on the road NEAR YOU with those lovely Valentiine girls.
‘Saturated’ has been out a while now but I needed something good to hear after Death Grips made me want to take 6 ibuprofen and have a little lay down.
Cable35 sound a bit like Nirvana during those ‘Bleach’ years so that is a good thing, however this clip for ‘Saturated’ is almost as likely to induce an aneurism with it’s quick cuts of blue liquid in shot glasses?
The guys from Malta stop midway for a nice sandwich and then get into their touring van to rock some more. It brings an entirely new meaning to ‘If the vans rocking don’t come knocking’…
