Want to go on a Great Escape?
IT’S TIME FOR THE GREAT ESCAPE
Brighton is being taken over by music this weekend as The Great Escape returns – an annual showcase of up-and-coming talent, all set against the backdrop of the Brighton coast.
Take a look at some of our EMI and EMI North artists you can catch by the beach over the next few days.
WALT DISCO
Our besties at EMI North’s brand new signing Walt Disco are playing two shows across the weekend. They’re stepping into a defining new chapter with a sense of purpose that feels deeply earned. This next era is a continuation, sharpened by doubt, grounded in their evolving personal identities, and driven by the belief that they can still become exactly what they were chasing all along, a generation defining band who dare to do something unique.
DOLDER
22-year-old identical twins Dani and Zara Dolder have been harmonising since before they could speak – a lifelong, almost telepathic bond that fuels the emotional honesty at the heart of their debut EP, The Motive. Raised on their dad’s jukebox staples – The Beatles, Eagles, Steely Dan – and later inspired by modern female storytellers like HAIM and Gracie Abrams, Dolder craft warm, harmony-rich songs that chart the realities of growing up.
SEBASTIAN SCHUB
Sebastian Schub is a German-born, London-based singer-songwriter and former busker known for his raspy, soulful baritone voice and intimate folk-rock style. Following a decade of busking, he signed with Island EMI/Capitol Records and gained recognition for his 2024 debut single “Sing Like Madonna,” blending influences from Irish folk and American blues.
