Weregoat ‘Unholy Exaltation of Full Moon Perversity’

Upon reading the track list of this CD and seeing that the first song was entitled “Nuclear Cunt” I knew I was in for a treat with this CD. A scary as hell, but a treat never the less.

Made up of members from Ritual Necromancy, Aldeberan and more, this CD offers up eight tracks of brutality similar to that of many grindcore bands. Weregoat offer a mixture of every extreme genre within one collection of songs. The production quality isn’t amazing; and neither is the structuring of the songs but if it was it wouldn’t be right. This album stinks of all out hatred from beginning to end.

If you like bands such as Cathedral and Napalm Death (early material) Weregoat are a band you should check out. They are by no means ground breaking or genre defining but damn it they are giving it a go with this nasty little number. 7/10
