Wet Nuns Announce ‘Broken Teeth’ Tour 2013

Wet Nuns Announce ‘Broken Teeth’ Tour 2013

Hell-raising duo Wet Nuns, who ended 2012 by picking up the Video Of The Year gong at the Artrocker Awards last week. The band have just announced a full UK tour in February / March, and are set to unleash their brand new EP ‘Broken Teeth’ in February, recorded at McCall Studios with Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, MIA, The Fall). Wet Nuns will also play two January dates with Blood Red Shoes (including at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on January 22nd), their first US dates in March, and will also be curating their own festival, the lovingly titled ‘Detestival’.
So along with most people, WithGuitars think it’s fair to say that it’s been a massive year for the Wet Nuns.

Having taken home the gong for Video Of The Year at last week’s Artrocker Awards, Wet Nuns can look back on acclaimed performances at the Reading & Leeds Festivals, Bestival, Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape, and two riotous headline UK tours. They’ve been hotly-tipped by just about everyone, from BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens to the Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders, the NME, The Independent, The Guardian, Q and Clash.

Now those purveyors of death-blues are set to charge into 2013 with a UK headline tour, two huge support shows with Blood Red Shoes, the release of a brand new EP ‘Broken Teeth’, their first US trip and the launch of their very own festival in March, the irreverently titled ‘Detestival’.

The forthcoming EP ‘Broken Teeth’ was recorded with Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, The Fall, MIA, The Kills) at McCall Studios earlier this year and is set for a February release, just as the band hit the road for a full UK tour starting in Newcastle on February 21st 2013.

Ahead of all that, Wet Nuns have also been invited to play two shows in the new year with Blood Red Shoes, at Norwich Arts Centre on January 21st and London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on January 22nd 2013.

Full dates for the ‘Broken Teeth’ tour are below, pre-sale tickets are available this Friday 14th December from http://www.artistticket.com/link/?s=Wet+Nuns, before going on general release from Monday 17th December.
