“Beautiful, soaring, multi-instrumental, indie-pop music.” Jen Long, BBC Radio 1″

“Sweeping and otherworldly” – The Line of Best Fit

“The brainchild of collaborators Josef Prygodzicz and Faye Gibson, Winter Villains are an experimental, chamber pop band based in Cardiff.

They draw on an eclectic array of influences, combining sparse, modern classical tendencies with atmospheric electronic programming to create a backdrop for ethereal voices that sing about otherworldly human experiences.

Winter Villains will be touring the UK in support of the record and play the following shows, with more to be confirmed:

18th July – Harbour Festival, Bristol

20th July – Irregular Folk, Midsummer’s Weekend Festival, Oxford

Winter Villains released their debut album ‘February’ in 2013 to critical acclaim. They toured the UK and played festivals including Green Man, 2,000 Trees and Hay Festival. They received much interest for singles ‘Moon’ and ‘The Air’ from the likes of 6 Music and BBC Radio 1. They were shortlisted for the Welsh Music Prize later that year.

In 2014, the band completed the recording of their follow up album ‘Once There Were Sparks, Now There Are Asheswith producer Charlie Francis (REM, Turin Brakes). The album was mastered in Reykjavik by Valgeir Sigurdsson (Bjork, Bedroom Community) and will be released in May 2015 on Owlet Music, and preceded by the single ‘Empire’.
