Louisa Osborn & Chris Mulligan are based in Leeds, having met through the vibrant music scene in which they have honed their craft. They have supported the likes of Wolf Alice, Veronica Falls and Dark Horses as well as packing out single launches & a stunning show at Leeds’ grade I listed Holy Trinity Church.

The Witch Hunt’s visceral and beguiling live performances resulted in the pair being thrust into a summer packed with festivals, ranging from the modern city venue-hopping Liverpool Sound City, Live at Leeds and Tramlines to the legendary Reading & Leeds Festivals.

Road hardened and wiser, they eagerly retreated to their Leeds studio to record and self produce the 5 tracks that make up the ‘Little Book of Hate’ EP. The larger stage has clearly made as much of an impact on the band, as they have on the audience. From their darkened club basement roots the pair set about expanding on their sound, adding drums and percussion alongside the electronic bleeps and beats driving their songs.

Teaming up with Dead Young Records on this trademark audacious EP, a little alchemy was used to fuse their ferocious live energy on to a physical release. A 12” transparent purple vinyl has been conjured into existence with custom black and white explosion embedded into the disk. Each of the limited edition 300 will be complete one offs due to the handmade process employed in creating the multicoloured vinyl. For those without vinyl ways and means, black magic will also be employed to allow them to download the EP.

‘Little Book of Hate’ will be unleashed on their native Leeds on Halloween at a special launch show in the back-alley underground cauldron of Wharf Chambers, accompanied by friends Heart-Ships, Bearfoot Beware & Niagara and a suitably spooky after party.

They will be heading out in support of the record at the following shows:
09/10 – Belgrave Music Hall (with Lady Lamb The Beekeeper)
12/10 – Freak Out! Leeds (as The Witch Stripes)
18/10 – Queens Social Club, Sheffield (with Poltereist)
24/10 – Mello Mello, Liverpool (Bido Lito Halloween Party)
28/10 – Sebright Arms, London (Communion Headline Show)
31/10 – Wharf Chambers, Leeds (Halloween EP launch show)
01/11 – Whitby Goth Festival
02/11 – Newcastle
15/11 – Nottingham, (with March Violets)
23/11 – Brudenell, Leeds (with March Violets)
