Wood Festival competes main stage line up
Wood Festival has competed the main stage line up and from Wednesday 14th March, Day Tickets will be on sale. Initially created to be one of the ‘greenest’ festivals celebrating music and nature, this is the festival’s 7th year. It takes place on the 15th, 16th & 17th May at Braziers Park, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
Joining the three headliners already announced TUNNG, SONGHOY BLUES and TREETOP FLYERS will be CC SMUGGLERS, GILL SANDELL & CHRIS T-T, BARNA HOWARD, JALI FILY CISSOKHO and THOMAS TRUAX.
These bands will be joining the already-announced bill which includes SPIRO, JOSIENNE CLARKE & BEN WALKER, DUOTONE, JOHN JOSEPH BRILL, TODD DORIGO, HANS CHEW, THE DREAMING SPIRES and NICK COPE.
We can also announce the first acts for the “TreeBadour” tent, now handily located next to the bar:TREVOR MOSS & HANNAH-LOU, ALAN TYLER and BAND OF HOPE. More to follow.

Day Tickets will be available from Wednesday 9am through the same outlets at the advance prices of £20 (Friday), £39 (Saturday), and £25 (Sunday). This year we have introduced Teen Day Tickets at £5 less per day.
The list of workshops is taking shape, these run all day Saturday & Sunday:
– Learn to make jewelry, feathered marionettes, beautiful bowls, and DIY wormeries;
– Try Pilates, Hula hooping, Pole-lathe turning, hand massage, Indian head massage, Magpie Qigong and tea-tasting;
– Learn to love your bike, build a woodland den, know your herbs and grow upside-down vegetables
– There’s felt-making for children, Funny Creatures, 5Rhythms dance, Feldenkrais, music improvisation, Sensing Nature, clay faeries in the woods and of course Musical Carrots!
2015 will be the YEAR OF THE BEE, our animal of focus, so indulge in some black and yellow stripes! Wood welcomes Flash of Splendour Arts who present Christopher Wren’s Transparent Bee-Hive and Other Unbelievable 17th Century Bee Stories; the Mural Painting Workshop will be making a bee mural, naturally.
Three times a Greener Festival winner at the UK Festival Awards, Wood is powered completely on renewable energy. Our famous composting loos-with-a-view have even been nominated for Best Toilets, no portaloos here! Last year we won a Gold Award from Festival Kidz; the list of children’s activities will follow in a later announcement.
