Over the past few months, the heavily-tipped Brighton four-piece have been touring the country after landing support slots with the likes of The Amazons and Don Broco and last night, the band took to the stage of The Garage, London for a frenzied sold out show, once again proving themselves to be one of the UK’s most exciting guitar outfits for 2018.
Formed in Brighton, YONAKA released their debut EP ‘Heavy’ in October. Produced by Rodaidh Mcdonald (The xx, Sampha), lead single “Bubblegum” landed radio support from the likes of Daniel P Carter, Hugh Stevens, MistaJam and Phil Taggart at Radio 1 as well as a multitude of editorial support from the likes of DIY, NME, BBC, The Independent and more. Subsequently, Music Week recently announced the band as the joint 3rd most-tipped act for this year.
