Young Dreams Release ‘Fog Of War’ Modular Session Video (Filmed In The Shape Of A Circle)
WithGuitars happy to confirm the news that debut Album ‘Between Places’ Out 4th March
Young Dreams’ current single, the first official track off their forthcoming debut album ‘Between Places’, is ‘Fog Of War’. As Pitchfork says, the track ‘perfectly captures that slow motion feeling of being fed up with your surroundings, full of expectations, waiting for life to begin’.
The Bergen-based symphonic pop band are currently playing a handful of shows in the Netherlands at Eurosonic this week and decided to showcase their live show through a Modular Session for people in the UK and USA who are currently unable to witness this joyous spectacle. In the spirit of ‘Fog Of War’, tapping into that waiting for things to begin feeling, they decided to film a series of live videos on the rooftop of a building in their hometown. The director, Kristoffer Borgli, is their frequent collaborator, who also directed the videos for ‘Young Dreams’ and the official video for ‘Fog Of War’. The first, a live version of ‘Fog Of War’, is yours to view today.

“Fog of War” is perhaps even more of an anthem than its predecessor, blowing up youthful, violently impassioned longings for freedom to the size of a flare-streaked sky… these Norwegians live up to all the bombast: they’ve got a sound as hopeful– and huge– as teenage dreams.” – Pitchfork

“…soaring, bleary-eyed, optimistic…” The Fader
