Zealyn Releases Limbic System: Reimagined

June 9, 2017 (Los Angeles, CA) — The seventh remix from Zealyn’s Limbic System: Reimagined is here along with a full release of the EP, now available at all digital outlets. This last track, “Always Starting Over,” was remixed by RUSLAN who says, “I was drawn to ‘Always Starting Over’ because I loved the vocal performance and I wanted to see what it would sound like in context of different production and arrangement. I immediately had ideas for what the remix could sound like and did the initial sketch very quickly. I love working on projects that are at the same time a challenge and something that comes together naturally almost as if taking a dictation from the muse.”
To cap off this remix EP, Zealyn partnered with new music discovery site Kick Kick Snare for the premiere of “Always Starting Over.” “Consider this your ticket to an exclusive, star-studded Hollywood event hosted by Zealyn and soundtracked by the alternative pop singer’s new remix EP, ‘Limbic System: Reimagined,’ remarked Kick Kick Snare. “With names like Jon Santana, Stephen Laurenson and Aaron Marsh on the guest list, it reads like a Who’s Who of the industry’s most sought after producers. But tonight’s main attraction, in our humble opinion, comes courtesy of distinguished guest of honor, Ruslan, whose remix of ‘Always Starting Over’ will have your applause on loop.”
Originally released on her debut EP, Limbic System, this remix is one of seven that will has been released over a period of seven weeks. Zealyn partnered with seven producers to create Limbic System: Reimagined, which is out today at all digital outlets.
Zealyn’s original release, Limbic System EP, was co-written and produced by Aaron Marsh (of Copeland) and released in June of last year. The EP showcased Zealyn’s vocals over percussive soundscapes, bursts of thickly-stacked harmonies, and beds of strings. The songs were an alternative/electronic mix garnering critical praise from indie and pop publications such as NYLON Magazine, Hillydilly, Billboard, and Idolator.
Following the release of this remix EP, Zealyn is gearing up for part one of her Limbic System tour which begins in San Francisco on July 9. See below for a full list of dates.
